What if shark went extinct millions of years ago and frogs/salamanders took over the role. I would imagine something even more fearsome than shark itself- a predator that is capable of swallowing large prey whole.
Sharg is 40 feet long and have wingspan of approx. 35 feet. Its' mouth is 15 feet wide

I've been reading some very interesting recent literature on the evolution of tetrapods, and it seems that the earliest tetrapodomorphs quite possibly could have been marine. So perhaps this animal belongs to a sister-clade to true tetrapods that never left the water?
